Islamabad:(Special Representative)According to UG NEWS,The Department of Mass Communication at Federal Urdu University (FUUAST) Islamabad has already announced a Green Journalism Conference dedicated to discussing the most pressing Environmental challenges of our time and the evolving role of Media in addressing them.This conference aims to bring together Researchers, Environmentalists, Media scholars, Communication experts and Students to share their insights, research findings and practical perspectives on Environmental sustainability. The event will provide an academic platform to critically explore key issues such as:
Water scarcity
Climate change
Deforestation
Environmental protection sustainability
Media’s role in Environmental awareness and advocacy
Need of the course “Green Journalism” in academia Participants will present Research Papers, Case Studies and student-led Research Posters, contributing to a meaningful dialogue on how informed Journalism can influence policy, public awareness and sustainable practices.This initiative is part of our continued academic commitment to Green Journalism.
In earlier phases, we have introduced Green Journalism as a subject and successfully published a Magazine on the same theme. This conference represents the 3rd phase expanding Scholarly engagement through dialogue, research and collaboration.We strongly encourage participation from Faculty Members, Researchers and Media Professionals across Universities in Pakistan to contribute their work and perspectives.Abstract Submission Deadline: April 5 Conference Date: June 3
Venue: Main auditorium, Federal Urdu University, Islamabad We believe that, this Conference will serve as a meaningful step toward developing academic, research-based and media-driven contributions for Environmental protection.
