A Proud Moment for Our Community
Alhamdulillah, today is a truly special and proud day for everyone connected with Urdu Global, Open Kitchen Manchester and UG Art and Culture.
We are delighted and deeply honoured that Urdu Global Open Kitchen and UG Art and Culture have been nominated for the Best of Manchester Awards 2026.
The nomination of UG Art and Culture under “Supporting Healthier, Happier Communities” and Urdu Global Open Kitchen under “Making a Difference” is a wonderful recognition of the dedication, voluntary work and community spirit behind these projects.
For us, this is not simply about an award. It is about the thousands of moments of kindness that happen quietly every day—food being prepared and served, people receiving support, families being helped, volunteers giving their time, and communities coming together.
Open Kitchen Manchester has continued its mission of serving people in need with dignity, compassion and respect. UG Art and Culture has also worked to bring people together through cultural, social and community activities.
Behind every nomination are our incredible volunteers, supporters, sponsors, friends and community members. Their contribution has made these projects possible.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported us and to the organisers of the Best of Manchester Awards 2026 for recognising the work being carried out in our community.
Whether this journey ends with an award or simply with the honour of being nominated, the greatest reward remains the opportunity to serve humanity and make a positive difference in people’s lives.
