Like youth around the world, Pakistani youth living in the UK are also achieving prominence through their talents and achievements. In this regard, Ahmed Mateen, who hails from Lahore, Pakistan, has brought glory to his family and country by being elected as the Deputy President of City St George’s University of London Students’ Union, and he too has won with a clear majority. Ahmed Mateen is the son of the late Naseer Ahmed Shabbir, a prominent businessman from Lahore, and the nephew of the well-known businessman and socialite Rana Waseem Haider, who lives in Dubai. He studied at Aitchison College Lahore and is currently pursuing a law degree at City Law School.
Talking to the media after the election, Ahmed Mateen expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his friends who supported him. He said that after completing his education, he will try to make Pakistan famous on the world stage. He added that the grace of Allah Almighty and the prayers of his parents played an important role in his success.
