Local Muslim community expresses gratitude for council’s approval to rebuild Bilal Mosque in Prestwich, Manchester – appeal for full participation in fundraising dinner

. The local community described this historic occasion as an important milestone for mutual harmony within the interfaith and cultural community. Bilal Mosque organizers Chairman Haji Habibullah, Secretary Dr. Anwar Masood Nayyar, Akbar Javed Ashraf, Dr. Basharat, former candidate for Mayor of Greater Manchester Chaudhry Aslam Kamboh, Naveed, Maulana Abdul Waheed, prominent businessman Chaudhry Saleem and other prominent figures gathered to express their gratitude for the council’s approval. Chairman Habib said that after a hard struggle, we have obtained the approval. Along with the reconstruction of the mosque, a center for religious and social activities will also be established. We sincerely hope that the Muslim community will benefit more from it upon its completion. Secretary Dr. Anwar Masood Nayyar said that keeping in mind the latest circumstances, we were in dire need of a new mosque for social and religious activities. Now that permission has been received, philanthropists are encouraged to donate generously for the reconstruction. Former candidate for Mayor of Greater Manchester Chaudhry Aslam Kamboh said that the reconstruction undertaken by the mosque administration to connect the younger generation with Islam is commendable. Other prominent figures present on the occasion also expressed their gratitude and satisfaction on receiving permission from the council for the mosque and other activities.

The administration of Bilal Masjid Prestwich Manchester and the local Muslim community gave a clear message that we will promote mutual unity and understanding within the interfaith and cultural community by following the example and Sunnah of the Master of the Universe.
