The second international conference titled Global Peace was held in the British capital London at the office of the Forum for the International Relations Development (FID) under the title of Global Peace.

The special guests were General (retd) Abdul Qayyum and Mian Muhammad Jahangir, while the chairmanship was held by Professor Dr. Taha Qureshi. The conference was organized by the Chairman of the Forum for the International Relations, Professor Dr. Taha Qureshi MBE. The special guests of the event were General (retd) Abdul Qayyum and Mian Jahangir, while important figures from different walks of life, intellectuals, social leaders and community representatives, and journalists also attended. Addressing the conference, General (retd) Abdul Qayyum emphasized the need for establishing peace at the global level, religious tolerance, interfaith harmony and positive dialogue between followers of different religions.
Mian Muhammad Jahangir said that the world needs dialogue, tolerance and mutual respect instead of hatred, extremism, intolerance and division. The speakers also emphasized that Islam teaches peace, love, tolerance and respect for humanity and serious and meaningful dialogue for better relations between different religions is the need of the hour.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Taha Qureshi MBE said that world peace is not only the responsibility of governments and states but every individual in society, religious leaders, intellectuals and civil society must play their role. By promoting communication and dialogue between different religions, the foundation of a peaceful and better future can be laid.
The theme of the conference was “Re-examining the relations between Islam and other religions”, under which a detailed discussion was held on how religious harmony and peaceful coexistence can be promoted in the current global situation. At the end of the conference, gifts were presented to the participants by the forum.
