“Each time Pakistan achieves something positive on the international stage, certain Indian media outlets, including Zee News and others, attempt to overshadow the achievement by publishing misleading and fabricated narratives. Derogatory descriptions such as ‘fundamentalist country’ and references to ‘fatwas’ are repeatedly used to portray Pakistan in a false light, ignoring the reality of a progressive and modern nation.
Our representative, Anniqa Jamal Iqbal, a 24-year-old accounting graduate, is proudly preparing to represent Pakistan at Miss World. She is currently in Pakistan, yet some Indian media outlets have falsely reported that she is facing public backlash. These reports are entirely fabricated and are designed to manufacture controversy where none exists.
Miss World Pakistan has always stood for dignity, professionalism, and national pride. If our intention were to create controversy, we would remain silent. Instead, we are choosing to speak out and make it clear to the people of Pakistan and the international community that these claims are false, misleading, and irresponsible.”
Miss World Pakistan 2026, Anniqa Jamal Iqbal, added:
“My organization, Miss World Pakistan, and I do not support or encourage controversy of any kind. Our focus is on representing Pakistan with pride, integrity, and respect. We believe it is important to address misinformation so that our supporters, followers, and the people of Pakistan understand that these false narratives are being created outside our borders. We remain committed to our purpose and will not allow fabricated stories to distract from our mission of representing Pakistan on the world stage with honor.”
