Bharat Kumar Sisodia (MBE)—a distinguished social and community figure in Oldham, former president of the Indian Association, and a lifelong advocate for interfaith relations—presented his book, The Cosmic Avatar, written for all communities, to the Mayor of Oldham, Cllr Pam Byrne. During a special meeting in the Mayor’s Parlour, the Mayor congratulated Bharat Kumar Sisodia upon reviewing his book—written for people of all faiths—and expressed great pleasure.
Bharat Kumar Sisodia’s wife, Krishna Kumari Sisodia, and other family members were also present during the meeting with the Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Pam Berry, in the Mayor’s Parlour. The book shares Bharat Kumar Sisodia’s personal journals and spiritual experiences spanning over five decades. Bharat Kumar recounts a deeply personal spiritual journey involving Sathya Sai Baba; the narrative explores extraordinary experiences, meaningful coincidences, and spiritual encounters. It invites readers to look beyond the apparent limits of conventional perception and reflect on the profound significance of faith, divine grace, and human consciousness.
The book offers a lesson on how to discover love within oneself—and how to sustain it despite doubt and trauma. The author also explores the tension between science and faith. Science may fall short in revealing certain truths—truths that require the “eyes of faith” to perceive, regardless of whether one follows Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, or any other belief system.
The author, Bharat Kumar Sisodia (MBE), was born in India and later moved to the United Kingdom. He inherited a strong commitment to justice and public service from his father, who served as a judge in India. Bharat Kumar served for over 35 years as a magistrate within the British judiciary—a role that included sitting as a judge on the Crown Court’s appeal panel. It is for this reason that the British Government… In 2022, he was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), and he continues to serve as the Chair Trustee of the Indian Association Oldham, as well as the Chair Trustee of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Institute of Indian Art and Culture) in Manchester.
