Bury — Arif Chaudhry
The event was attended by the Mayor of Bury, Councillor Muhammad Tahir Rafiq, Councillor Taimoor Tariq, as well as business leaders, community figures, politicians, and religious scholars from across the United Kingdom.
During the gathering, Fatiha (prayers for the deceased) was recited, and supplications were made for the forgiveness of the departed. Heartfelt condolences and sympathies were extended to the bereaved family. The attendees prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased, the elevation of her status in the afterlife, and for patience and strength for the surviving family members.
On this occasion, Councillor Shahbaz Arif expressed his profound gratitude to all the distinguished guests, relatives, friends, and community leaders who attended the gathering. He deeply appreciated the sentiments of those who stood in solidarity with the family during this difficult time, offered their condolences, and prayed for the deceased. He also conveyed his best wishes to everyone who stood by the family and shared in their grief.
The event concluded with an emotionally moving prayer (dua) for the benefit of the deceased’s soul. It was prayed that Allah Almighty grant her complete forgiveness, illuminate her grave with divine light, ease her journey in the hereafter, and bestow upon her a high station in Jannat al-Firdaws (the highest level of Paradise).
The attendees prayed that Allah, the Lord of Honor, grant Councillor Shahbaz Arif and his entire family the gift of Sabr-e-Jamil (steadfast patience) in the face of this immense loss, and provide them with the strength to endure this separation. Separation from one’s mother is, without a doubt, a sorrow in life that is difficult to express in words. A mother’s love, prayers, and upbringing always remain alive in the hearts of her children. We pray that Allah the Almighty makes the good deeds of the deceased a means of salvation for her, and grants her children the ability to become a source of sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity) for her. Ameen.
