According to Ug News Media Europe,Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma the draft law on the denunciation of the Convention on Criminal Liability for Corruption.Ug News Media Europe reports that the Convention was signed by Russia in 1999 in Strasbourg. The document attached to the bill states that the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has decided to suspend Russia’s participation in the Anti-Corruption Group, which oversees the implementation of the Convention. In this regard, the participation of the Russian Federation in the Convention is suspended, Russia is deprived of the right to vote, participation in the discussion and adoption of reports.
