With this step, the European Parliament also demonstrated its determination to harm the European Union-Azerbaijan relations.These views were expressed by political scientist Zaur Mammadov, the head of the Baku Club of Political Scientists, in his statement to Ug News Media Europe.”It is clear that the statements made in the European Parliament a few days ago have no moral, political or legal weight for Azerbaijan. If the European Parliament wants to tell the truth, then why did it not mention Azerbaijan in the issue of territorial integrity? The fact that the Europeans do not voice the demand for the withdrawal of Armenian military units from the mountainous part of Karabakh, and instead demand the withdrawal of the Azerbaijani military from Armenia is the limit of prejudice,” the political scientist stressed.Z. Mammadov said that in this way, France and Armenia are underlining the achievements of EU President Charles Michel as an effective mediator between Baku and Yerevan in the last year.It seems that the Armenian diaspora, as well as the French government, have launched a pressure mechanism against such figures as Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen in the form of the European Parliament and the European Commission, and such adventurous speeches will continue.The political scientist noted that the work mechanisms and methods of European countries should be reviewed with new approaches due to the events that have taken place.The draft text prepared by the European Parliament will undoubtedly extend the time for signing a new agreement between Azerbaijan and the EU. If the European structures approach the South Caucasus on the basis of the principle of the Armenian issue, they will surely damage the authority of the political institution of the continent in the region.
In the end, Zaur Mammadov said: “It would be good if the relevant structures of Europe, led by the head of the delegation of the European Parliament for the South Caucasus, Marina Kalyurand, start investigations on many people. Everyone knows that today many members of the European Parliament are financed by the Armenian diaspora. This is evidenced by the initiation of investigations into some countries in the European Parliament at the end of last year. However, although the names of other countries are mentioned in the issue of bribery, silence is shown regarding Armenian millionaires.
