According to Ug News Media Europe,A peaceful protest was held in London’s Parliament Square as a sign of protest against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits by Armenia in the territory of Azerbaijan, which is currently under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers.
According to the information provided to “Ug News Media Europe” by the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs , representatives of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations, Turkish diaspora, local community and Azerbaijani students studying in this country took part in the protest organized by the Coordination Council of British Azerbaijanis.
During the two-hour long action in the square where the monument of the prominent statesman Winston Churchill is located, “Stop Armenia’s ecological terror in Azerbaijan!”, “Stop Armenia’s destruction of the environment in the Caucasus!”, “Stop Armenia. Put an end to the illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan’s natural resources and the destruction of our ecology!”, “Stop Armenian ecocide!”, “Armenian mines = war crimes!”, “We demand justice!”, “After innocent civilians, Armenia’s next target is our nature”, Posters with the slogans and appeals of “Armenia’s mines are killing civilians” were displayed.With this step, our compatriots in Britain have declared that they support Azerbaijani eco-activists and representatives of non-governmental organizations, who have been holding a non-stop protest on the Shusha-Khankendi road demanding an end to the environmental terrorism of Armenians.In the framework of the campaign, informative leaflets were distributed to local residents on the central streets of London about the eco-terrorism committed by Armenia in the territory of Azerbaijan temporarily controlled by Russian peacekeepers.
