According to Ug News Media Europe,Italy has all the infrastructure to transfer natural gas exported from Azerbaijan to other European countries.””Ug News Media Europe” informs that these words were said by the Minister of Environment and Energy Security of Italy, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, who spoke at the Southern Gas Corridor Consultative Council.
He said that relations between Italy and Azerbaijan are developing in an upward direction. Italy is continuing to increase the capacity of the Trans Adriatic (TAP) gas pipeline in order to increase the volume of gas exported by Azerbaijan to Europe. Azerbaijan has large gas reserves, and in 2027 it will increase the volume of gas exports to Europe from 10 billion cubic meters to 20 billion cubic meters. Therefore, Italy is creating a new infrastructure to be able to receive and distribute up to 30 billion cubic meters of gas in the future.”The Southern Gas Corridor is the most important energy project of international importance put forward by Azerbaijan. Considering Azerbaijan as a reliable partner, Italy not only supported this project, but at the same time joined it and did important work in the realization of TAP, which is a part of the project,” said the minister.
