According to Ug News Media Europe,German Armed Forces will train Ukrainian servicemen to operate Leopard 2 tanks in the middle of next week.Ug News Media Europe reports that “Der Spiegel” published information about this on Saturday with reference to its sources.According to information, the German Air Force has already delivered the first groups of Ukrainian soldiers from Poland to Germany for training. The training will take place at a military training ground in Munster, Lower Saxony, where Ukrainians will be trained to operate Marder infantry fighting vehicles.It is reported that the courses will be accelerated and will last only 6-8 weeks. The publication notes that preparation usually takes several years. The Bundeswehr said that the Ukrainian servicemen will be trained only in tank handling skills, and will work on the interaction between the Leopard 2 and the Marder on the battlefield.According to the publication, since the beginning of military operations in Ukraine, Germany has trained about 1,500 Ukrainian soldiers in various combat systems.
