Macron called Russia an aggressor state because of its war in Ukraine and declared that the policy of official Moscow creates disorder in the world. He stated that Russia should end its war of aggression in Ukraine and give up its imperial ambitions altogether. I believe that the French President’s harsh views on Russia are not only based on universal values or concern for the protection of the norms of international law, but also express the desire to deprive Russia of the opportunity to become one of the main power centers in the new world order. In his speech, E. Macron also declared that Russia, which implements a neo-colonial policy, cannot be trusted to solve the problems of the Caucasus, and for this reason, he will continue to stand by his friend Prime Minister N. Pashinyan. With these thoughts, he in fact, he presents his country as the new patron of Armenia and expresses his desire to exclude Russia from the South Caucasus. It is interesting that E.
