Political scientist: Macron is trying to divert attention from Armenia's policy of aggression.

According to Ug News Media Europe,During the presidency of Emmanuel Macron, France’s biased position and aggressive anti-Azerbaijani rhetoric in South Caucasus politics have become traditional. Because Macron, who understands well that he is unable to change the new geopolitical realities created by Azerbaijan’s historical victory, is trying to distract attention from Armenia’s policy of aggression using all possible opportunities.
Aytan Gurbanova, a political scientist and a teacher of the Faculty of International Relations and Economics of Baku State University, said this in his statement to Ug News Media Europe.He said that the attempts to “innocent” Armenia against the backdrop of Russia’s imperialist policy by equating the events that took place in the South Caucasus (more precisely, on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border) during the Munich Security Conference with the occupation of Ukraine or the conflicts in the Middle East serve this purpose.According to A. Gurbanova, on the one hand, he blamed Russia for the occupation of Ukraine, and on the other hand, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, who occupied the lands recognized by all countries of the world as well as France as the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan for nearly thirty years and still carries the same ideology of occupation. By sending a message of solidarity, what kind of justice concept or international legal order is Macron demonstrating?! If France’s goal is to achieve peace and stability in the region and the world in general, why is the agreement reached within the framework of the Prague meeting not followed? After all, the President of France, who emphasizes democratic values, should respect Algeria’s sovereignty based on the same values.”The aim of the French President is neither to ensure justice nor peace and stability. When one considers the growing geostrategic importance of the South Caucasus, especially the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the newly formed world order, the ulterior motives behind Macron’s prejudices become clearer. But regardless of the position of France or any state that carries the ideology of “Armenianism”, no step against the interests of Azerbaijan can be taken in the South Caucasus. Therefore, this non-constructive rhetoric of Macron will not give any result other than hitting Azerbaijan-France relations”, said Aytan Gurbanova.
