According to Ug News Europe,The summit meeting of the heads of the foreign policy departments of the G20 member countries has started in Delhi, the capital of India. Ug News Europe informs that officials of about 20 countries, representatives of international and regional organizations are participating in the meeting held under the auspices of India, the current chairman of the G20, along with member countries of the group, based on the invitation of the host. In addition to the international issues on the agenda, the foreign ministers will discuss multilateralism, the fight against terrorism, economic development, inflation, food and energy security in the world market. The two main sessions of the summit will be held on March 2.India’s foreign affairs secretary Vinay Kwatra said at the press conference on the summit meeting that the Russia-Ukraine war will be on the agenda of the meeting. “Considering the developing situation in the Russia-Ukraine war, of course, this will be an important topic of discussion during the meeting of the foreign ministers,” said the Indian official. He announced that the effects of that war on the world, including economy and development, will also be discussed.”Reuters” agency reported that the European Union will not sign the document if the final document of the summit does not contain a clause regarding the condemnation of the war in Ukraine.It should be noted that the summit meeting of the heads of foreign policy departments took place a few days after the meeting of the group’s finance ministers and heads of central banks in Bangalore, India, which ended with the failure to adopt the final declaration due to sharp differences of opinion between the Western bloc and the Russian-Chinese tandem over the Ukraine issue.does. At that meeting, the parties could not agree to designate the military conflict in Ukraine with the word war. Russia and China objected to the use of the word “war” in the final declaration. “Bloomberg” agency writes that the official Delhi is trying to convince the Russian and Chinese sides on the issue so that a similar situation does not occur at the meeting of the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Bilateral meetings are also organized within the framework of the Summit of Foreign Ministers. The meeting of Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Russia Mevlut Cavusoglu and Sergey Lavrov has already taken place.
