Burnage Buddies, Manchester, (Report Sabira Naheed Manchester) Organised a lovely event for Quaiad Azam day, Christmas and New years. This wonderful event for the Burnage Buddies was organised by Seema Sheikh.
The event started by the recitation of The Holy Qur’an, by Azmat Shehzadi, then the National Anthem of Pakistan was read and the audience stood up and joined in.
Zaheer Lakhera hosted the event.
Farida Lakhera and Zaheer Lakhera entertained the audience by singing an Anthem in relation to the Quaid’s birth.
They then delighted the audience to Pakistani and Indian songs, which the audience cheered and clapped to with admiration.
The audience requested Fareeda Lakhera and Zaheer Lakhera to sing songs of their choice and they loved their enthusiasm for singing and their beautiful voice.
The event was joined by MP Yasmeen Dar, Deputy Mayor Shaheena Haroon and Councillor of Bury and project founder of BAME Ummara Farooq and her lovely team.
Seema Sheikh was delighted with the audience and thanked them for taking out time from their busy schedules to attend the event.
Seema Sheikh also thanked the volunteers: Ayesha Mubashar, Riffat, Azra, Nasreen, Rubina Chauhan and everyone else.
Delicious Pakistani delicacy was served at the end of the event.
