The chairmanship of the UN Security Council has passed to Malta

According to Ug News Media Europe,The chairmanship of the UN Security Council has passed from Japan to Malta.The local bureau of”Ug News Media Europe” informs that the Permanent Representative of Malta to the UN,Vanessa Fraser, answered the questions of journalists at the headquarters of the organization in New York and announced the main topics of discussion that will be on the agenda during the month of February.
The ambassador said that on February 24, on the anniversary of the Russian army’s large-scale attack against Ukraine, a ministerial-level meeting is planned to be held at the UN Security Council. At the same time, there are discussions on Eastern countries, Iran, Palestine, Israel, Yemen and Syria on the agenda of the Council of Ministers.
V. Frazer said that extraordinary meetings can be held during the month with the requests of TC member countries regarding conflict regions and situations.
