According to Ug News Media Europe,Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on February 2-3.”Ug News Media Europe” referring to the Romanian pressnewsinforms that within the framework of the visit, K. Iohannis will hold consultations regarding the development of bilateral relations, as well as cooperation in areas such as energy, transport, trade, investment, digitization, agriculture, education and culture.In addition, the Romanian head of state will participate in the meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Consultative Council.
Attention will also be paid to the negotiations on the strategic partnership agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary in the field of green energy and transport development. Another topic of discussion will be the expansion of cooperation on strategic initiatives between Romania and Azerbaijan in Europe and Central Asia.The visit of K. Iohannis to Baku is a continuation of the talks held between the heads of state in Bucharest on December 17, 2022.It should be noted that Azerbaijan is the first country in the South Caucasus region to raise bilateral relations with Romania to the level of strategic partnership.
