A colorful ceremony was held at the Pakistani Consulate in Manchester on the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day

Consul General Imtiaz Feroz Gondal said that the Pakistani community living in Greater Manchester celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day in large numbers, which is a symbol of a living nation. He further said that the Pakistani army has proven to be an enemy. If you look at us with a dirty eye, we will make you a lesson. The spirit and courage of our nation are young and strong. Member of British Parliament and Advisor on Trade Turkia Afzal Khan, while congratulating the Independence Day, said that the hearts of Pakistanis living in the diaspora always beat with the motherland. We should all light our own lamp for Pakistan so that Pakistan can progress. Community Welfare Attaché Misbah Noreen said that this year we are celebrating a double Independence Day because we have inflicted a devastating defeat on our neighboring country India in the war. The nation is proud because of the Pakistani army. Commercial Welfare Attaché Owais Farooqui said that we have also decorated various stalls to highlight Pakistani culture and heritage on Independence Day. The joy of Independence Day is more than the victory in the war against the enemy. Father Falak Sher, Alia Hashmi, Khawaja Kaleem, Mussarat Chaudhry, and other prominent personalities also expressed their resolve to remove the evil eye raised towards the motherland. Pakistanis are a living nation that knows how to defend their homeland. In the colorful and dignified ceremony of Independence Day, children presented a tableau show, while the air echoed with the melodious voices of singers.
