Manchester: The Pakistani community will celebrate the 79th Pakistan Independence Day with full national enthusiasm on Friday, 14 August, this year in the UK. In this connection, the Consulate General of Pakistan will organise a special event on 14 August at 10:00 am at the Consulate General building. Imtiaz Feroz Gondal, Consul General of Pakistan, Manchester, will host the colourful event. The programme will start with flag hoisting and the national anthem. A cake-cutting ceremony will also be held, while community leaders will deliver speeches on the occasion. Families and children are specially invited to attend the event.
Ch Mohammed Rasib Khan, a well-known senior accountant, will also organise a ceremony to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan on Friday, 14 August, at 3:00 pm at his office on Stockport Road, Levenshulme, Manchester. “National anthem, speeches commemorating Pakistan Independence Day, the release of helium balloons and refreshments are part of this programme,” he stated.
