Milan(International News Desk) According to UG news UK United kingdom,To commemorate the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan and to celebrate Pakistan’s victory in Marka-e-Haq, a special event was organized at the Consulate General on 14th August 2025. The event was well-attended by a diverse group of community members, including children, women, and local leaders.
The program began with the hoisting of the national flag to the tune of the national anthem by Consul General Murad Baseer. This was followed by the reading of official messages from Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, and President Asif Ali Zardari by the Deputy Consul Ahmad Waleed, Community Welfare Attaché Waqar Ali Khan, and Immigration Liaison Officer Asmat Ullah Junejo, respectively.
Following the readings, Consul General Murad Baseer addressed the audience. In his remarks, he highlighted the significance of this year’s Independence Day in light of the recent victory Pakistan achieved in Marka-e-Haq. He commended the armed forces for their robust and timely response to Indian aggression and reaffirmed their readiness and resolve to counter any internal or external threat to the nation’s sovereignty.
The event also featured a full-length documentary on Marka-e-Haq, showcasing Pakistan’s decisive response to India’s unlawful aggression. A special prayer for peace, unity, and the continued progress of Pakistan was offered, followed by a ceremonial Independence Day cake-cutting, which concluded the event.
