Mr. Syed Qamar Raza’s third power show was held in London a few days ago, which was a successful show in every respect. Before that, Shah Sahib had also organized his successful programs in Brussels and Islamabad. Those who considered Syed Qamar Raza to be an apolitical personality have proven their assumptions wrong. Now let’s talk about the achievements of Shah Sahib in these power shows. We have no doubt about Shah Sahib’s good intentions because some things are done with good intentions but they do not achieve the results for which a lot of effort is made. The promises that the Prime Minister of Pakistan made to overseas Pakistanis in Qamar Raza’s first show died before reaching the bureaucracy. Mr. Shah Sahib probably does not realize the power of bureaucracy. Overseas Pakistanis have been oppressed by the same insensitive bureaucracy for the past several decades. The government that came in made hundreds of promises to overseas Pakistanis but the results could not cross the zero mark. The biggest complaint from overseas Pakistanis is the corruption, arbitrariness and rudeness of airport staff, which no government has been able to remedy. Now the new punishment of CBR has been thrust into our throats. More than one crore overseas Pakistanis who send huge foreign exchange to their homeland every month are treated like stepmothers in every institution of Pakistan. From the airport to reaching home, our lives hang in the balance, not knowing at what point a government robber might rob us. Who is the protector of our lives, our property and our rights? Will we take big positions in political bribery and dedicate five years to pleasing the head of state? Qamar Shah, believe me, this period will pass, and you will not even know it, and after that, you will only have a conscience that will ask you with a gnawing feeling that when Allah gave you honor, gave you a position and made you the protector of the rights of the people, you wasted all your time pleasing the head of state. Your Excellency, you are a businessman and have been in touch with the business world in London for a long time. How good it would have been if you had organized a corporate dinner in honor of the Prime Minister and appealed to the business people that half of our country is currently submerged. The flood victims have lost their crops, their homes, and their livestock. They need us at this time. With the amount spent on your power show in London, many homeless people could have found homes. We could have even heard this speech of the Prime Minister on TV. Shah Sahib, enough is enough. You have fulfilled your chairmanship duty. Your Excellency, now leave London and go to Pakistan to uphold our rights. Take overseas Pakistanis out of the feeling of deprivation. It is your responsibility to ensure that the promises that the Prime Minister makes to overseas Pakistanis on stage are fulfilled. For God’s sake, do not leave us at the mercy of bureaucracy. Your Excellency, the battle has been won. Now our soldiers are helping our brothers and sisters submerged in the flood day and night. Now we need to become their hands and feet.
