Mayor Shibli Alam said that I wish the best for the women who have rendered outstanding services in their personal businesses. Consul General Imtiaz Feroz Gondal said that women have taken very important steps and the role of women in business is enviable and exemplary.


Former Mayor Councillor Tafin Sharif said that the steps taken by Women in Power founder Noreen Shahzad to enable women to play an active role in society are commendable and enviable. Deputy Leader Andrew McLaren said that it is a matter of pride and honor for me to participate in this event in which women are encouraged to play an active role in society and enter business. Naila Sharif, a vibrant councillor of the Pakiza Women’s Group, said that it also improves the economy when women participate in business. She further said that they will play their full role in providing employment opportunities for women in the UK and Pakistan as well. The women participating in the event said that they are grateful to Women in Power founder Noreen Shahzad, whose efforts enabled them to start their own businesses. Women in Power Group Founder and CEO Noreen Shahzad thanked the distinguished guests and said that we are organizing the event today in celebration of the position achieved by the women who started their own businesses in the past one year and this series will continue in the future. Certificates of appreciation were also given by the Leading Women and a cake was also cut.

The role of the Leading Women in Business Group in promoting the welfare of women and making them empowered citizens of the society is exemplary and worthy of imitation by others.
