Pink Day was celebrated to raise awareness about breast cancer and raise funds for the Mayor’s Charity of TAMESIDE COUNCIL

In which Mayor Shibli Alam, former Mayor Councillor Tafin Sharif, Councillors Naila Sharif, Councillor Muhammad Karim, Deputy Lieutenant Muzahid Hussain – Nabila Akram – Vicky, Mayor’s Secretary and others participated. Mayor Shibli Alam said that a fundraising campaign for breast cancer has started within our council and the amount collected will be donated to various charities. I sincerely thank the participants in this campaign for our invitation. Former Mayor Councillor Tafin Sharif said that it is an honor for me to organize the charity event. He gave a message to the community and said that the earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the sooner it can be treated. Deputy Lieutenant Muzahid Hussain and Councillor Naila Sharif said that breast cancer is considered negative in the South Asian community, that maybe we did something wrong due to which we got breast cancer, although this is not the case at all. I request the community not to ignore the changes in the breast so that the disease can be diagnosed in the early stages and it can be fully treated. Councillor Sangeeta Patel and Councillors Muhammad Karim, Nabila Akram-Viki, Mayoral Secretary and others said that it is very important for the women of the community not to ignore the changes in their breasts and consult a doctor about it soon so that if it is breast cancer, timely treatment can be done.
