The sad news of the passing of Mehwish Jabeen Raza-e-Ilahi, a well-known social worker from Manchester, has deeply saddened the Pakistani and Kashmiri community across the city. Community leaders, social activists, and welfare representatives have expressed profound grief and offered prayers for the departed soul.
Prayers were offered that Allah Almighty grants the late Mehwish Jabeen Raza-e-Ilahi the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and blesses the bereaved family with patience and strength. Ameen.
Urdu Global Media Network, UG Art & Culture, and the Women’s Wing also expressed deep sorrow over her passing.
Condolences were conveyed by Sabira Naheed Chaudhry, President of UG Art & Culture; Shabana Iqbal, President of the Women’s Wing; and Naghmana Kanwal Sheikh, Director of Urdu Global.
Representing UG Art & Culture and the Women’s Wing, condolences were also expressed by Shabnam Mirza, Mishal Aqeel, Pinky, Faiqa Gul, Tanzila Naveed, Zubaida Begum, Sofia Bano, along with many other women who paid tribute to the late social worker’s valuable services to the community.
Lubna Zafar was also among those who expressed heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family.
Community circles stated that the social services rendered by Mehwish Jabeen Raza-e-Ilahi will always be remembered, and her absence will be felt for a long time.
