SWAT:(Special Representative) According to UG NEWS,Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, Vice Chancellor, University of Swat, presided over the 15th meeting of the Academic Council, underscoring his continued leadership and commitment to academic excellence, good governance, and institutional development. The meeting was attended by Deans, along with Heads of various teaching and administrative units of the University.During the meeting, key academic and administrative matters were deliberated, including the reconstitution of statutory bodies in line with the University of Swat Statutes 2025, establishment of an independent Faculty of Management Sciences, implementation of Senate resolutions on interfaith harmony and minority rights in education, approval of the draft Annual Report 2024–25, policies related to question bank development for external examinations, review of minutes of Boards of Faculty and Studies, restructuring and renaming of academic departments, inclusion of departments within relevant faculties, and consideration of student-related academic requests.The meeting reflected the Vice Chancellor’s vision for strengthening academic standards, ensuring inclusive education, and aligning university governance with updated statutory frameworks.
