Local council elections are being held in Oldham, a city across the UK, on Thursday, May 7. Former councillor Aqeel Salamat is contesting the councillor election from the Waterhead ward of Oldham on behalf of the Labour Party. Today, he spoke to senior British journalist and anchor Arif Chaudhry along with his colleagues Haji Asif – Chaudhry Iqbal and Raja Maroof and said that I have served the community of Oldham for many years as a councillor before – this time too, I will serve the people after being elected. In comparison to us, the Reform UK party is biased towards Muslims and is against the minority community. Only the Labour party is good for all people.
