Motor Vehicle Examiner (MVE) Syed Fahad Hussain Shah and DSP Traffic Muhammad Sajid addressed the media, sharing detailed insights regarding traffic laws, driving licensing, and the physical fitness inspection of vehicles.
Commitment to Merit and Transparency
Speaking to media representatives, Motor Vehicle Examiner Syed Fahad Hussain Shah stated:
”Alhamdulillah! I have conducted all my work purely on merit. I neither succumb to anyone’s pressure, nor do I need to. I take pride in my work.”
He further shared that he personally visits and inspects vehicles across the entire district, verifying their route permits and relevant documentation on the spot. He clarified that they are tightening their regulatory scope to ensure rigorous checking of sub-standard vehicles and traffic rule violations.
Driving Tests Under Modern Camera Surveillance
Speaking on the occasion, DSP Traffic Muhammad Sajid informed the media that driving tests and vehicle inspections are conducted regularly. He noted that candidates who do not know proper driving techniques are failed without hesitation and given a re-test date after 15 days.
The DSP Traffic emphasized:
”We grant no relaxation to anyone during driving tests because the entire testing area is monitored by modern cameras that capture every single movement and mistake of the candidate. Unless we enforce strictness, people will continue to make errors. Our goal is to issue licenses only to those candidates who pass the test impeccably.”
Important Appeal to Parents Regarding Underage Driving
DSP Traffic Muhammad Sajid made a heartfelt appeal to parents, urging them not to allow underage or unlicensed children to drive cars or ride motorcycles on the roads. He warned that anyone’s child could potentially fall victim to tragic road accidents occurring daily.
He advised that if a child is between 15 and 18 years old, parents should visit the traffic office to obtain a legal permit for them before allowing them to operate a motorcycle.
