According to global Times news Agency Europe, Since more than half of the country’s citizens, included in the voter lists, voted at the polling stations until 13:00 (12:00 Baku time), it was announced that the referendum on additions and changes to the Constitution of Uzbekistan took place. “The Global Times Europe” informs that this was informed by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Bahrom Kuchkarov. According to the legislation of Uzbekistan, a referendum is considered to have taken place when at least 50% of the voters included in the voting lists participated. “As of 13:00, the number of voters has reached 12,083,105, which is 62.24% of the number of citizens included in the lists. These numbers show that there are grounds for the Central Election Commission to consider the referendum completed,” Kuchkarov said at the briefing.
