Sardar Aftab Khan, a prominent businessman and social personality of Great Britain, organized a Potho Hari Mahfil Shahr Khwani in the local hall of Oldham, in which Raja Waseem Gulshan-Razzaq Abbasi-Raja Parvez Khan Hafiz Anwar Javed Sardar Iftikhar sang the poems of Ishq Haqiqi and Majaji. The audience was protected by the rhythm of Garde and the melody of the instrument when it spread in the air, it made the atmosphere of the entire hall colorful. Raja Waseem Kotli and Razzaq Abbasi were among the other participants, Councilor Chaudhry Aftab Hussain, Raja Ibad Ali, Mahmud Janjua, Raja Fayaz, Sardar Tariq, Chaudhry Shahzad, Sardar Abid, Sardar Tariq, Sardar Zia, Khalid Khaliq, Raja Zahoorul Haq. Raja Tariq Rabbani and Raja Masood Alam Shami jointly performed the duties of the stage secretary. The host of the program Siddar Aftab Khan said that we should promote our mother tongue Futwari language and engage our young generation with it. Raja Wajid Farooq and Raja Zahoorul Haq said that the purpose of organizing Pothwari poetry festival for the community living in Potohar region and Kashmir is to keep the young generation in touch with their mother tongue and to be one in the land. Chaudhry Khalid creator Raja Javed Anjum said that we have come from other cities to participate in the gathering of Pothwari poems. We also want our young generation to have a relationship with their mother tongue. Britain’s famous Pothwari poet and organizer Raja Masood Alam Shami congratulated the host Sardar Aftab Khan for organizing today’s successful program and said that the purpose of organizing such gatherings abroad is to promote our mother tongue and to promote our new language in Britain.
