Consulate General of Pakistan Barcelona organized an event regarding Kashmir Black Day.

According to global Times news Agency Europe, The Consulate General of Pakistan Barcelona organized an event to observe Kashmir Black Day.A sizeable number of Pakistani community living in Barcelona and its surroundings attended the event. A video having the genesis of Kashmir dispute was screened, showing atrocities and brutalities committed by the Indian Forces in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Special messages from the President, Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of Pakistan on ´Kashmir Block Day´ were read out by the Consul General, Murad Ali Wazir.The highlight of the event was, talk of Ms. Merce Perea, Member of Spanish Parliament. In her talk, Ms. Perea emphasised resolution of this longstanding issue according to the international norms and convention. She said that the world must take notice of the Human Rights abuses in IIOJK. It should not be another starting point for a war like the one in the Middle East.H.E. Ambassador, Shujjat Ali Rathore in his remarks highlighted the importance of Black Day in the resolution of Kashmir dispute and stressed international community to take notice of the grave human rights violation in IIOJK. He said that objective of this event is to show the brutal face of occupied forces in Kashmir. He also emphasised that this time the world must realize its commitment for a peaceful settlement of the dispute. Mr. Ambassador reiterated Pakistan´s stance to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to the just cause of self-determination of the people of Kashmir. He requested all the participants to be a voice of the voiceless of the Kashmiri people.The ceremony ended with a special prayer for our Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
