Wahari (October 18): PTI workers staged a protest at Pakistan Chowk on the call of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman. A heavy contingent of police took action to disperse the protestors and arrested several activists, including women.

District president and former MNA Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry and the workers were arrested as they came out of the mosque after offering Friday prayers. Saima Noreen, nominated MPAPTI, reacted to the arrest, saying “Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry was punished for his love for Pakistan and Imran Khan.” “We reject state terrorism and tyranny,” he added.
Former MNA Tahir Iqbal Chaudhry said, “These arrests and ulterior tactics cannot stop our way.”
