Pakistan’s blind baseball team held a prize distribution and dinner at Coco’s Grill Restaurant in Rochdale in honor of the team winning the bronze medal in the World Cup. Member of British Parliament Afzal Khan, Consul General of Pakistan Consulate in Manchester Tariq Wazir Khan, Head of Pakistan Blind Federation Baseball UK Shiraz Chauhan, Secretary General Pakistan Federation Baseball Syed Fakhar Ali Shah-Coach and Manager Film Director Writer Saifur Rehman -Coach Makhdoom Syed Amjad Shah -Socio-political leader Razia Chaudhry -Saima Ashraf -and the baseball team participated. Secretary General Syed Fakhar Ali Shah said that Pakistani children are good at sports and we want to educate our community about sports. He further said that through sports we want to highlight the positive image of Pakistan. Head of Pakistan Blind Federation Baseball UK Shiraz Khan said that we won a bronze medal for our motherland with limited resources and in a short time, which is an honor for us. Member of British Parliament Afzal Khan said that we should not ignore such people due to disability but should give them opportunities in every field like these youth have done a great job for Pakistan. Consul General Tariq Wazir Khan said that he is ready to provide them with all possible help as a representative of the Government of Pakistan. The team is determined to win a gold medal in the next World Cup. Socio-political leader Razia Chaudhry said that Pakistan’s blind baseball team has made the entire nation proud by winning the bronze medal with a short preparation. Baseball team coaches Saif-ur-Rehman and Makhdoom Syed Amjad Shah said that by winning the bronze medal, the team has brought glory to the country and the nation. We are proud of our team. Arsalan Sabir, a player from Azad Kashmir, requested the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq to take steps to provide all kinds of facilities to the disabled people of Azad Kashmir. Zahid Mahmood and other players called winning the bronze medal a matter of pride and said that we have brought glory to the country and the nation and will continue to do so in the future. The players were presented with medals by Consul General Tariq Wazir.
