A lavish dinner was hosted by distinguished businessman Malik Waseem Shahid at a local restaurant to honor Pakistan’s renowned poet and author, Ghaffar Shahzad. The event was attended by numerous social, political, and business figures who paid tribute to Shahzad’s literary contributions.
Prominent attendees included former Chairman of Jhelum Municipality Chaudhry Saeed Ullah Mudabbir, Chief Organizer of Jhelum Forum Ilyas Gondal, Sikandar Nawaz, President of Manchester Forum Chaudhry Anwar, Councillor Abid Chohan, CEO of Open Kitchen Manchester and Urdu Global Shehzad Ali, Hafeez Chohan, Lala Zulfiqar, Chaudhry Mazhar, and notable poet Sabir Raza, among others.
It is worth noting that Ghaffar Shahzad has authored 33 books, including significant works like Dara Darbar Complex, The Minarets of Lahore, Sufi Shrines in Punjab, Baba Farid Ganj Shakar, Lahore: Homes, Streets, and Gates, and Lahore Today and Tomorrow. His writings have not only highlighted the rich history and culture of Lahore but also earned him a distinctive position in Pakistan’s literary landscape.
The attendees lauded Ghaffar Shahzad extraordinary contributions and expressed their best wishes for his future endeavors.
