For the first time, Rochdale Council organized an Iftar dinner at the Council Building Riverside, which was attended by council officers and employees from all religions. The chief organizer of the Iftar dinner, Ameera Taha, and her team had made very good arrangements.

– The leader of Rochdale Council, Neil Emmott, Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Shakeel Ahmed, participated in the Iftar dinner. Other participants included Deputy Leader, Councillor Ali Adalat, Nominee Deputy Mayor, Councillor Faisal Rana, Councillor Professor Iftikhar Ahmed, Councillor Shah Wazir, Councillor Iram Faisal, Councillor Syed Shah Wazir, Councillor Chaudhry Arshad, Nadia Malik, Sameera Nazir, Saj Mir. – Azan was also given. – The participants said that the purpose of the Iftar dinner was to make the interfaith community aware of the importance and benefits of the month of Ramadan. – They further said that people of other religions were told about the benefits of fasting. – The participants said that This was a great initiative by Rochdale Council – it sends a great message to the interfaith community living in Rochdale – and creates harmony and unity within the intercultural and interfaith community.

Rochdale Council brought together for the first time employees of the Rochdale Building who belong to different faiths for an Iftar dinner, sending a message of mutual unity, harmony and unity that will always be remembered.
