The opening ceremony of the council chamber office and the mayor’s parlor was held at Rochdale Town Hall. Mayor Rochdale Councillor Shakeel Ahmed, Council Leader Councillor Neil Emont, Deputy Leader Councillor Ali Adalat, Mayor Consort Mrs Shakeel Ahmed – Councillor Rachel Massey cut the ribbon – the town hall was opened after five years of renovation and decoration. Now the mayor will carry out his duties in his parlor at Rochdale Town Hall and the first meeting of Rochdale Council will be held in the new chamber tomorrow. On this, the leader of Rochdale Council, Councillor Neil Emont – Mayor Councillor Shakeel Ahmed and others said that today is a very happy day that after five years the first meeting of the council will be held in the historic town hall
