In which prominent figures of the community, including Member of British Parliament and Trade Advisor to Turkey Afzal Khan, Chairman Mustafa Trust Haji Abdul Razaq Sajid, Chairman GMPT Chaudhry Haroon Afzal Khatana, PTI’s Malik Imran Khalil, Mai Nawab’s Shoaib Taj, Lawyer Rana Zia Aslam Khan, Chaudhry Shahid, Chaudhry Rizwan Naseer, President of PML-N Business Wing Chaudhry Khalid Hanjra, Chaudhry Akhtar Malwana, Chaudhry Anwar Yaqoob, Chaudhry Akhtar Malwana, Syed Sajjad Kazmi, Owais Chauhan, former Lord Mayor Yasmin Dar, former Mayor Tafheen Sharif, and others participated. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and eminent religious scholar Qari Javed Akhtar was honored with the Naat Rasool Maqbool. On this occasion, Afzal Khan said that mutual harmony within the community is exemplary during the month of Ramadan. The month of Ramadan has taught us patience, perseverance and tolerance. We should make it a part of our lives. Haji Abdul Razzaq Sajid said that such events should be held in which people from different schools of thought participated in the Iftar party so that mutual harmony within the community increases. Malik Imran Khalil – Chaudhry Rizwan Naseer Rana Zia Aslam – Chaudhry Shahid – Shoaib Taj – Chaudhry Haroon Afzal Khatana said that the highlight of the Iftar party was that we prayed collectively for the Muslim Ummah. He further said that the highlight of the ceremony was that we discussed the beautiful example of the Lord of the Universe and resolved to make it a part of our lives. Other participants in the ceremony also paid tribute to the efforts of host Chaudhry Abdul Karim to connect the community. Hosts Chaudhry Abdul Karim and Chaudhry Faisal Karim thanked the guests and said that every year during the month of Ramadan, we organize a huge Iftar party in which we invite people of all schools of thought so that mutual unity and harmony are created within the community. They gave a special message and said that just as we came together for Iftar in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan and on the evening of Jumma-tul-Wida, may Allah Almighty give us the courage and strength to do good deeds throughout the year.
The efforts of Chaudhry Abdul Karim, Chairman of Careem Group of Companies, in implementing mutual harmony, unity and consensus within the Pakistani community living in Greater Manchester are highly appreciated within the community.
