Prominent social and community figure Dr. Dr. Akram and his wife Nabila Akram and their team organized a Family Fun Day to collect donations for the mosque at the community center of Ashton Central Mosque, in which various stalls were also set up. All the proceeds of the day, which was 3725 pounds, were given to the Central Mosque.

. Dr. Akram said that we collect donations for the mosque every year. The local population participated in large numbers and generously donated. The money collected will be spent to meet the needs of the mosque. Nabila Akram said that we have been organizing this event for the last fifteen years. Our aim is to bring the local community under one roof and collect donations for the mosque, in which the community generously donates. Community leaders Noreen Shahzad and Naheed Ghafoor said that we organize this event every year to ensure that the mosque is provided with more facilities. The generosity of the local population is remarkable. Other people who attended the event said that such a social activity helps to bring the community together and raises money for a good cause.
