Prominent social and community figure Fakhr Tarar Khal Azad Kashmir Sardar Aftab Khan organized a poetry recitation event by Saiful Malook, a literary group of geet and ghazals in Oldham. Pothohar region’s poets Chaudhry Mukhtar Ahmed and Hafiz Raja Yaqub enlivened the event by playing the nishtar of poetry.

Raja Masood Alam Shami and Raja Tariq Rabbani performed the duties of the Niqab in their own unique style. People who are fond of Potohari poetry and music from all over the UK participated and played a key role in making the event a grand success. Host Sardar Aftab Khan said that we organized a literary gathering today. Lovers of literary gathering from all over the UK participated, for which I sincerely thank everyone. Gohar Almas Khan and Raja Janbaz Khan said that organizing such programs is necessary to keep our culture alive. Raja Tariq Rabbani and Raja Masood Alam Shami expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the participants of the gathering who enhanced the grandeur of the gathering. Raja Javed Anjum and Chaudhry Muhammad Ayub congratulated Sardar Aftab Khan on organizing the program. Businessman Jibran said that he participated in such a gathering for the first time in the UK. Highlighting the regional culture of Pakistan in the UK is commendable. Councilor Chaudhry Haroon Rashid Gulshan – Raja Wajid – Raja Mazhar said that it is our effort to organize such a program in other parts of the UK to highlight the culture of the Pothwaar region. Raja Tahir Iqbal – Sardar Zia – Raja Javed Anjum and other participants in the gathering also welcomed the gathering organized to highlight the regional culture. The guests were welcomed with drums.
