A grand event was organized by Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Manchester, hosted by Rana Zia Aslam Khan (President AIL Global 2024, Head of Legal Wing PML-N North West UK). The event was well attended by dignitaries and people from different sections of the community. –
Special guests included Tariq Wazir (Consul General Manchester), Afzal Khan (Member of Parliament), Amjad Malik (Vice Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Commission – OPC), Ehsan Dar (President PML-N UK), Zubair Gul (Coordinator PML-N UK), Raja Sajjad Hussain (President PML-N North West), Sheraz Haider (General Secretary PML-N North West), Dr. Babar Aslam Khan (Head of Professional Wing), and Dr. Nasir Saeed Bajwa (Senior Vice President PML-N North West). A large number of women, barristers, solicitors, doctors, engineers, and businessmen attended. The event discussed the issues of overseas Pakistanis, and OPC Vice Chairman Amjad Malik highlighted the role of OPC in resolving these issues. He assured that OPC is committed to resolving the property and other issues faced by overseas Pakistanis.
All the speakers condemned Elon Musk’s recent controversial tweet targeting the Pakistani community and appreciated the steps taken by the PML-N leadership to resolve the issues of Overseas Pakistanis. Host Rana Zia Aslam Khan urged the community to remain united and work for the development of the country. Saeed Ahmed Hashmi performed the duties of Secretary Stage ably.
The event proved to be a manifestation of the unity of Overseas Pakistanis and their efforts to resolve their issues.
