A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of the provincial Chief Minister for Education regarding the Ehsaas Internship Program.

Peshawar:(Special Correspondent)According to UG NEWS,A meeting on the Ehsaas Internship Program was held today under the chairmanship of the Honorable Minister for Higher Education. The session was attended by the Secretary Higher Education, Special secretary Higher Education, Director Higher Education, representatives from IM Sciences including Dr. Numan, Dr. Zahoor Jan PD STEAM, and other relevant officers from the Directorate and Secretariat.Dr. Numan presented the draft policy of the program, while Dr. Zahoor demonstrated the proposed online portal for the internship initiative. Detailed discussions were held on student eligibility, data management, and selection criteria. It was agreed that internships will be offered to graduates of the last two years, with a duration of three months in offices and four months in educational institutions, subject to a minimum GPA threshold of 3.0.The meeting also deliberated on the application process, Placement and monitoring mechanisms, and payment procedures. It was decided that all stakeholders—including educational institutions and Host organizations—will be registered on the online portal. Students will apply digitally in line with their academic disciplines, with internships assigned accordingly and monitored through an integrated online system. To facilitate students, dedicated students support offices will be established in educational institutions.The Honorable Minister directed all concerned to finalize the required data and prepare a comprehensive concept note for submission to the Honorable Chief Minister for approval.
