Peshawar:(Special Correspondent) According to UG NEWS, an important and special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Prisons Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Rehan Gul Khattak, regarding the security of prisons across the province, in which DIGs participated. The meeting was attended by DIG (Security and Judicial), DIG (Finance and Planning), Superintendent Jail Peshawar, while DIGs and superintendents of regional offices participated via Zoom. During the meeting, a detailed review of the internal and external security arrangements of the prisons was taken. The participants presented their recommendations and suggestions to make security more effective, which were seriously considered. On this occasion, IG Prisons Rehan Gul Khattak, while carefully reviewing all the issues, issued clear instructions that the security of the prisons should be ensured at all costs. He emphasized that any negligence or negligence in security matters will not be tolerated, and strict measures will be taken in this regard. He further said that the safety of prisoners and staff is the first responsibility of the state, for which all available resources will be utilized so that the prison system can be made more secure and stable.
