According to Ug News Europe,Security service officers Vasif Taghiyev and Mahir Imanov, who were injured during the terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran, are in good condition.Aykhan Hajizadeh, the head of the press service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , told “Ug News Europe” that the treatment of the wounded is continuing in the hospital.Regarding the progress of the investigation related to the terrorist attack, the spokesman of the ministry said that official Tehran does not provide any information about it to the Azerbaijani side.”We don’t have any information about the progress of the investigation,” the MFA official said.It should be recalled that on January 27, there was a terrorist attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran. The person who perpetrated the terror attacked the security post with a Kalashnikov automatic weapon and killed the head of the security service, Orkhan Asgarov. Two security guards of the embassy were also injured while preventing the attack.
On January 29, employees and family members of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran were evacuated to Baku. At the same time, the activities of the diplomatic mission were completely suspended.
O. Asgarov, who was martyred as a result of the terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran, was buried on January 30 in the Alley of Second Martyrs.
