According to the Ug News Europe,In the action jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Academic Union and the Austria-Azerbaijan Businessmen and Culture Association (AZER-DER), diaspora activists protested against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the territory of Azerbaijan under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers.”Ug News Media Europe” was informed about this by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.It was reported that during the action, “We protest the looting of Azerbaijan’s natural resources!”, “End the ecocide of Armenia!”, “Stop environmental terrorism in the territories of Azerbaijan!” posters with their demands were displayed. With this step, diaspora activists declared their solidarity with the demands of Azerbaijani eco-activists, representatives of civil society and volunteers, who held an action on the Lachin-Khankendi road.The participants of the action drew attention to the fact that our compatriots living abroad will not condone the looting of the underground and surface resources in the territory of Azerbaijan by Armenia and Armenian separatists, and that the environmental terrorism committed in the Karabakh economic region of our country has already become a universal problem.
It was brought to the attention of the local residents interested in the action that during the 30-year-long occupation, natural resources in the territories of Azerbaijan were looted by Armenians, waters were polluted, and about 60 thousand hectares of forest area were destroyed. The world community should vote for the right voice of Azerbaijan, which is making serious efforts to eliminate the consequences of the war in Karabakh and is carrying out large-scale construction works, and should call for practical steps to be taken to end the environmental terrorism of Armenians.
