Dr. Khurram Shehzad, Lead Co-ordinator for Disaster Relief by Irish and Pakistan founded the long-standing collaboration between Emergency Medical Services of Ireland and Pakistan after 2005 Earthquake and initiated capacity building of emergency staff for the first time in the country.
He played lead role in establishing collaboration between National Ambulance. Service College, Ireland and Emergency Services Academy, Pakistan through which training of Emergency Medical Technicians was started to provide quality Pre Hospital Emergency Care. As a result of his contribution, thousands of lives of victims of emergencies were saved by Emergency Staff trained as EMTs.His services for the Emergency Service Rescue 1122 shall always be remembered. His funeral was offered in Emergency Services Academy in which DG Emergency Services Dr Rizwan Naseer senior management of Rescue Headquarters and Emergency Services Academy and large number of Rescuers and noteables from health institutions attended the funeral.May Allah rests his Soul in Peace and give courage to bereaved family to bear this loss۔ ameen
