Former Navy officer Faisal Rana, from Lahore, Pakistan, has been formally elected as the new Mayor of Rochdale for the year 2026/2027 by the Rochdale City Council in the United Kingdom.

The grand swearing-in ceremony was attended by a large number of political and social figures, close friends and allies from across the United Kingdom.
