According to Ug News Media Europe,Former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev was released from prison.Ug News Media Europe reports with reference to Kyrgyz media that this information was confirmed by the family of the former president.
Restrictions on the movement of Almazbek Atambayev, who was released on the basis of a new court decision, were also removed.
Almazbek Atambayev, who led Kyrgyzstan in 2011-2017, was arrested on August 8, 2019. The former president was sentenced to 11 years in prison, accused of violence against law enforcement officers, organization of mass killings and murders, corruption and other crimes.
