The meeting discussed ways to further strengthen the relations between the two cities and new development projects for Sahiwal. :A delegation led by the Chairman of the Sahiwal-Rochdale Twin City Link Manchester, Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed Sahiwali, attended this special meeting held at the Mayor’s Parlor in Rochdale. The delegation included General Secretary Haji Abdul Qayyum – Patron-in-Chief Haji Abdul Ghaffar – Treasurer Abdul Sattar Tahir – Ustad Safdar – Tahir Mahmood Al-Mahmoud Foundation – Former Councilor Liaquat Ali – During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on making the twin city ties between Sahiwal and Rochdale more active, education, culture, youth welfare, community development and future joint development projects. Mayor Rochdale Faisal Rana appreciated the services of the delegation and presented special certificates of appreciation and mayor badges to all the members. On this occasion, the members of the delegation also recorded their impressions in the mayor’s memorial book. On this occasion, Chairman Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed Sahiwali thanked Mayor Faisal Rana for his hospitality and said that the twin city ties between Sahiwal and Rochdale will create new opportunities for development, friendship and mutual cooperation for the people of both cities. He expressed his determination that the relationship between the two cities would be further strengthened through joint projects in the future. The Mayor of Rochdale and the Sahiwal–Rochdale Twin City Link delegation reiterated their commitment to further advance this journey of friendship, cooperation and development between the two cities so that both communities can fully benefit from this partnership
