According to Ug News Europe,At the 52nd session of the UN Human Rights Council, 54 countries issued a joint statement, condemning the violation of human rights by the Iranian authorities and demanding an end to the use of the death penalty in this country.”Ug news Europe” informs that the Persian editorial office of “The Jazba Times US” published information about this.The document was signed by representatives of the USA, European Union countries, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Great Britain, and Canada.The mentioned countries accused the Tehran authorities of using the death penalty to create fear and suppress opposition protests. The document expresses concern that the regime in Iran is torturing detainees.In addition, in this statement, the relevant institutions of the Iranian government were requested to cooperate with the existing human rights mechanisms of the UN.It should be noted that this document was adopted after the speech of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdullahian at the meeting of the UN Human Rights Council.
